The Cap Blanc lighthouse, a 12-metre white tower, was first lit on the evening of 31 August 1863, atop a cliff almost a hundred metres high. Inland, Capocorb Vell preserves five talaiots and houses from around 900 BC. And on the plain of Galdent the Battle of Llucmajor was fought in 1349, closing the story of the Kingdom of Mallorca.
