Sineu Wednesday market, over 700 years old

by Ajuntament de Sineu · Sineu · 4.3 · 46 Google

Weekly Wednesday-morning market with a 1306 privilege from King Jaume II and live animals, around the church and Plaça del Fossar; walking around is free.

About

Sineu town council explains that the Wednesday weekly market was set up by privilege of King Jaume II in 1306. Govern tourism places it every Wednesday morning on the church square, Plaça del Fossar and the surrounding streets, and calls it the only weekly market on the island with live animals, besides fruit, vegetables, crafts, clothes and shoes. No official source publishes exact opening and closing times; it is best to go early in the morning, while there is still room.
