Things to do in Ariany

Ariany separated from Petra on 30 July 1982, after failed attempts in 1925 and 1949. The village grew around s'Auberg and the Camí de sa Marquesa, and keeps Ca ses Monges, a former Franciscan convent on Carrer Major. About 300 m from the village lies the Pou Bo, a public well probably from Islamic times; the municipality also has the Cova de la Canova, with prehistoric burials.
