Walk up to a hilltop castle with a refuge and chapel at the top, with views over the Raiguer and the plain.

About

The castle can only be reached on foot. The most common starting point is the Es Verger estate, from where one guide estimates around 45 minutes of climbing on a well-kept path; other routes from Alaró or Orient are 7-8 km loops of about three hours. At the top a refuge with a chapel serves coffee and sandwiches all day, and hot meals with advance notice. Some stretches have loose gravel, so sturdy shoes are needed.
